Front End Manager Under the leadership of the General Manager, directly leads the Support Lead, Lead Cashier(s) (if applicable) and associates of the store while the Manager on Duty. The Front-End Manager is responsible for "Wowing our Customers" front end experience, cash management, sales floor cleanliness, safety and driving sales. As a Five Below leader, your priority is to contribute to the success of your store. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Front-End Manager, but you also model leadership behaviors and deliver as a manager on duty. As the manager on duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. The Front-End Manager is part of the management team that sets the tone by embracing and living the Five Below Value! RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures all associates and managers are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers. Trains the Wow Crew on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience; ensuring that each guest has a fast, friendly check out experience. • Responsible to lead their assigned store to achieve and maintain customer service score goals provided by the District Manager • Responsible for leading Front-End Operations, ensuring front end merchandising (candy, soda, snacks) are set and meet or exceed brand standards. Ensures that all front-end equipment is in working order and associates are trained to include services where applicable. • Leads the Candy Ordering Process in their assigned store; is responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of inventory to ensure candy is in stock. • Responsible for opening and closing procedures, maintaining the store cleanliness, recovery, and keeping their store ready for customers at all times. • Responsible for performing store manager duties in their absence. • Partners with the assistant store manager to recruit, train, coach, develop and supervise all associates. The front-end manager will also assist in scheduling to ensure the store staffing levels meet or exceed expectations. • Reviews all corporate communications and reacts accordingly. • Partners with supervisors or corporate office regarding store issues. • Drives store sales and controls expenses to include all Five Below services (ear piercing, balloons, etc.) • Uses financial reporting to drive business opportunities and assists with the entire payroll process to ensure the labor budget is in line with plan. This role is responsible for cash handling procedures including but not limited to preparing and dropping bank deposits. Authorizes register functions including post voids, returns, and discounts. • Partners with the entire store leadership team in merchandising procedures and World Recovery. • Adheres to and holds associates accountable to all Five Below's Standard Operating Procedures and Human Resources policies and procedures. • Accountable for driving Key Metrics: Sales, ADS, CSAT Scores, and Expense Control • Performs store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room This job description is not all-inclusive.
