At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated FRONTEND ENGINEERS to join our growing team in SAN FRANCISCO and contribute as a member of the Global Engineering organization located in San Francisco, Minneapolis, London and York, UK.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be a part of a team working on the software and infrastructure used to power decision making and process management in Anaplan. In this role, you'll be building performant, accessible, and elegant web user interfaces for creating and managing business processes that our customers implement using our platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build scalable, resilient components in a functional React frontend

  • Write code that is high-quality, performant, sustainable and testable, and hold yourself accountable for the quality of the code you produce

  • Coach and collaborate both inside and outside the team. You enjoy working closely with others, helping them grow by sharing expertise and encouraging best practices

  • Explore design approaches to improve the user experience in a complex domain

  • Work in a hybrid cloud infrastructure, considering the implementation of functionality through several distributed components and services

  • Work with our stakeholders to translate product goals into actionable engineering plans

More about you:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • A strong background in fostering a culture of continuous delivery and agile development

  • A deep understanding of the value of testing to deliver high-quality code

  • Strong product and design sensibilities. You enjoy perfecting the details that matter

  • 3+ years in modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Experience in building reusable, and modular UI components and ensure cross browser compatibility.

  • 3+ years developing, deploying, and supporting commercial web applications

  • Familiar with WCAG/ARIA and how to build application based on these guidelines

  • Deep understanding of the tradeoffs between front-end JavaScript libraries

  • Knowledge and interest of current and emerging trends of the web platform

  • Experience with building observability into applications to track usage and health

  • Experience working closely with product management and UX teams to deliver the best solution to the problem at hand

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - you are pragmatic and know how to build trust

Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of business process modeling (BPMN) and related techniques

  • Worked with process-oriented applications and workflow interfaces

  • Experience working in production with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP

  • Worked with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes

  • Experience with community frameworks and LMS, LRS systems.
