Job Description Summary:

The PayPal Credit team is responsible for building mobile/web applications and services that provide PayPal Credit to our US and international customers. PayPal Credit is a strategic part of the PayPal business plan with important revenue-generating projects that will impact overall company performance.

We are looking for a self-motivated front-end JavaScript engineer. The perfect candidate will demonstrate great execution skills and a passion for delivering superior user experiences. Job Description:

  • Production Node.js application development experience.

  • Production JavaScript application design and testing experience.

  • A solid experience building applications on top of RESTful APIs.

  • Solid knowledge of React and Redux.

  • Experience with web frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS and Bootstrap.

  • Solid knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and componentization approaches.

  • Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.

  • Experience developing automated unit, integration and functional test suites.

  • Assist with application deployments in our Cloud environment.

  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.

  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired .

A successful engineer:

  • Write web application code following best practices of accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation.

  • Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.

  • Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across team.

  • Deliver code in an agile team environment.

  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

We are currently looking for exceptional software and hardware talent to join our Samsung Austin R & D Center (SARC) in Austin, TX and our Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) in San Jose, CA. SARC was established in Austin, TX in 2010 to be one of Samsung's strategic investments in high performance low power ARM based device technology. Our CPU design teams develop IP for Samsung mobile products and their Application Processor (AP). Our GPU design teams, located in Austin (SARC) and San Jose (ACL), are developing a custom GPU that will be deployed in Samsung mobile products. Role and Responsibilities As a member of the GPU/CPU Data Engineering team, the candidate will be responsible for the development of state of the art Data Visualization Tools. As the project lead, the candidate will be working closely with various GPU/CPU engineering teams to define the tool requirements, and lead the tool implementation effort all the way through production deployment. Skills and Qualifications * Bachelor's CS or Master's CS and minimum of 8 years' of experience (preferred) * Excellent understanding of core JavaScript and principles * Strong experience in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular (6+), React, Typescript * Strong UI, UX experience and ability to understand complex UI problem scenarios and propose solutions * Deep understanding of REST API fundamentals and experience consuming REST API * Strong knowledge in CSS3/HTML5 * Ability to debug UI code and performance tuning * Knowledge in package managers such as npm, yarn * Excellent team leadership, collaboration and communication skills.
