Digital Forensics Corp is a leader in digital evidence helping our Client's around the world with technical evidence, IP theft, data breach response, advanced cyber security services and much more. Our motivated and enthusiastic team is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who loves to deliver quality code and enjoys working through all the scenarios of how a product will be used to make the best possible user experience. You will interface between various departments and requirements and take an active role in product discussions, idea generation, design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance for the development life-cycle.

Core Responsibilities

-Write clean and well documented code

-Brainstorm with departments and technical contacts

-Assist in requirement gathering and documentation

-Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

-Work with design assets to create clean interfaces

-Code with PHP and front end technologies

-Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges & optimize code for max user speed / scalability

-Thorough bug and use-case testing

-Follow and monitor industry best practices


-3+ years proven development experience with PHP

-Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

-Understanding of open source projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress

-Proficient understanding and hands on experience with PHP and front end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX)

-Understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

-Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases

-Should have a solid understanding of QA and have desire to perform in depth user testing

-Familiar with REST or JSON APIs and how to work with them

-Knowledge of image tools. Ability to slice images received from design & create elements as you go

-Experience with code optimization

-JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, ReactJS, etc. a plus

-Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, etc.

-Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

-Familiar with code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN etc.

-Ability to understand and look out for vulnerabilities/exploits around the technologies you touch and assist in their solutions

-Understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that any front facing logic will adhere to them.

-Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision

-Effective problem-solving skills a must

-Local to Cleveland, not a remote roll
