Summary

  • The Front Desk/HR Clerk functions under the direction of the HR Manager and is responsible for providing professional level customer service when interacting with guests in-person, by phone, or email for Meteor Sealing Systems (a TG company).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, vendors and general public in a courtesy and a professional manner, directing them to the appropriate personnel

  • Receive all telephone calls from main switchboard when applicable

  • Sign visitors and customers in and out of the facility, making sure all required paperwork is completed and visitor badges are distributed

  • Sort incoming mail to the appropriate mailbox

  • Manage the Visitor Welcome Board, conference room, and visitors office as required

  • Coordinate details for hotel/car reservations for intercompany visitors

  • Order, distribute, and stock office and kitchen supplies

  • Process and distribute into the appropriate spreadsheets: employee hours, scrap coating transactions, slugs, lumps, die trial, and sample hours

  • Work with production to ensure they have an adequate supply of forms

  • Run production labels as needed

  • Complete all filing, prepare benefit supplies, and organize interview/meeting schedule for Human Resources Department

  • Support in daily tasks or instructions given to you by the Human Resources Manager, Generalist, or Staffing Specialist

  • Support for all departments as needed and time permits

Qualifications and Competencies

  • High school diploma of general education degree (GED) is required

  • Ability maintain a high level of confidentially is required

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required

  • Previous administrative experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required

  • Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required

  • Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required

Qualifications KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: * Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills. * Understanding of safety policies and practices. * Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance. * Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures. * Basic mathematical skills. * Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
