Northwood Club is a rapidly growing with increased membership. The Club was established in 1946. We are a premier country club located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We just re-opened our newly renovated PGA Championship Golf Course in April. The club has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary.
Reports to: Director of Wellness
Classification: Hourly and Non Exempt
General Purpose: Friendly, customer service oriented, and professional individual to provide services for members and guests in the Wellness Center. Answer phones to assist with general inquires and appointments on a daily basis. Also to assist with basic clerical work when needed. Cleaning of exercise equipment and Wellness Center when needed.
Welcomes members and guests, in person on the telephone; answering or referring inquires.
Provide continuous and courteous customer service to members and their guests
Answering phones in a timely manner, returning messages and confirming appointments.
Directs members and guests; giving instructions on use of fitness equipment.
Typing and excel spread sheet knowledge required.
Arrange reservations for classes, personal training and massage when needed.
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Able to administer first aid if required.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
Attends staff meetings when required
Education/Experience: High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fluent English is required. Effective communication to members, staff and between departments is required daily. Professional language and vocabulary will be used at all times.
May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Reasoning Ability: May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Physical Demands: Frequently sits; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds.
Certificates/Licenses: Must be at least 16 years of age. CPR & First Aid for Adults and Children required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the employee may be required to communicate with English speaking members or co-workers, the manuals for equipment the employee may use are in English).
Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
