Under the direct supervision of the Membership Manager, the Operations Attendant is responsible for the member entry process, point of sale functions, information dissemination, incoming telephone calls, policy enforcement and completing all cleaning assignments in a timely and high quality manner. The Operations Attendant is responsible at all times for providing the highest quality of service exhibiting excellent customer service skills and greeting all members and guests.
Essential Job Functions:
Greets by name and clears all members for entry to the Center.
Supports the department's promotional strategy to generate maximum participation in all activities and programs.
Follows system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Maintains current information on all Center programs, services and activities and promotes regularly.
Handles in-coming telephone calls, takes accurate messages and distributes appropriately.
Registers members and guests for appropriate programs according to established procedures.
Registers all guests and ensures all paperwork is complete.
Adheres to all cash drawer policies and procedures.
Washes, dries, folds, distributes clean towels and collects soiled towels, as needed into the LiveHealthy locker rooms.
Keeps supply of paper and soap products stocked for member and guest use at all times.
Completes all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments within designated areas
Keeps an accurate inventory of supplies and notifies supervisor when additional supplies are needed.
Follows the equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance checklist. Inspect and clean equipment daily (ex., washers and dryers).
Follows established reporting procedure when equipment malfunctions including posting of the appropriate status signage, notifying the Manager and recording the problem in the maintenance log located at the Front Desk.
Displays proficiency in the operation of the computer hardware and Motionsoft club management software.
Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Attends and positively contributes in all department meetings and scheduled employee meetings.
Maintains responsibility for on-going positive communications with peers, superiors and employees and adheres to all Mentor Wellness Campus employee policies.
Remains knowledgeable in all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
Remains knowledgeable in current information on all center programs, services, and activities.
Responds to all emergency situations according to facility policy and procedures.
Assumes other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Customer service, housekeeping service, hospitality front desk or health club front desk experience. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Possess a professional attitude and demeanor. Must be capable of maintaining positive ongoing communications. Ability to work variable hours as necessary. Basic computer operational skills preferred. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS). Ability to lift 25 pounds and carry a distance of 6 ft.
