JOB SUMMARY:
Handles lane assignments, rentals, and cash transactions. Provides bowling guests with prompt, efficient, courteous service and ensures the maximum usage of lanes and equipment.

UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stay focused on the job and deal with heavy guest contact in a positive and friendly manner. Must be able to do math calculations quickly and accurately.
JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Handles lane assignments, rentals, and cash transactions.
Provides bowling guests with prompt, efficient, courteous service and insures the maximum usage of lanes and
equipment.
Greet guests; answer questions; inform them of services and events.
Keep track of and assign open lanes and maintain/oversee waiting list.
Perform cash transactions for lanes, shoe rentals.
Insure that leagues start on schedule.
Rent shoes.
Handle guest complaints in a positive and friendly manner.
Answer phones; handle inquiries.
Page guests in house and/or take messages.
Handle and/or alert security or manager to rowdy guests that may disturb other guests.
Make promotional announcements over P.A. system.
Notify mechanic or pin chaser of pinsetter malfunctions.
Direct porter to insure that clean conditions are maintained throughout center.
Assist guests with problems that may occur by contacting porter or mechanic. (Problems include scoring corrections
sticky approaches, removal of balls trapped under lane, etc.).
Senior Front Desk Clerk
is being run efficiently, that Clerks are trained on job duties, getting breaks, that guests are receiving quality service
etc.
RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL:
Heavy contact with all Boardwalk Bowl employees.
RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL:
Heavy guest contact.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Front Desk Clerk
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Able to do basic math calculations/ make change and operate electronic cash register.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
Must have working knowledge of cash registers.
Able to follow verbal and written directions.
Able to understand inventory and ordering procedures.
Able to follow safety practices and lifting techniques.
Able to work cooperatively and as part of a team.
Able to handle difficult customer service situations.
Able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to stand and walk behind enclosed front desk area for 7 and one-half hours.
Able to withstand high noise levels.
Able to operate cash register.
