Front Desk Associate

Provides front-line customer service; supports patient care by ensuring that all required demographic and financial information is collected from patient and is entered into the medical information system; communicates to providers, ancillary staff, and patients to insure appropriate delivery of services and billing.
Required: Per Classified Civil Svc Specs:
Six months experience (600 hrs course work) in customer service or communications demonstrated experience using computers file management and document preparation and distribution keyboard experience (minimum 3 months). Desired: Previous experience working in a health care setting front-line and telephone customer service experience knowledge of medical terminology
Desired: HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience, knowledge of medical terminology, front-line, customer service experience and excellent verbal communication skills.
Targeted hiring range is 15.00 to $18.51/hr.

By the start of employment, all newly hired employees must receive at least the first dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of a one-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. Candidates may request a medical or religious exemption from the vaccination requirement. Campus employees may also request an exemption for personal reasons.
Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Student Health Services, College of Medicine or OSUP Employees are not eligible for personal exemptions. All exemptions are subject to Ohio State's approval and subject to change, including revocation, due to legal and regulatory requirements.
