Located in Fairfax, VA, SUMMIT Direct Care has an immediate need for a Full-Time Front Desk Associate, M-F, 8-4. MISSION: To provide ethical, convenient, holistic and affordable care that prioritizes long-term health goals. To provide the community with healthcare they can trust and access.
To establish a relationship with patients focused on root cause, lifestyle and longevity. JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Front Desk Associate you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office.
You will support doctors, nurses and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. General tasks include answering the phone, scheduling appointments, obtaining medical records and coordination with pharmacies and imaging centers. Experience in a fast-paced, specialty office setting is preferred.
Applicant must be professional, friendly, well organized, dependable, multi-tasker, detail oriented and efficient in many areas to include communicating and proper medical documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide clerical and environmental control services, according to established policies and procedures, in physician outpatient practices General patient care responsibilities (e.g. scheduling and organizing patient flow, assisting physicians/nurses, answering calls and providing pertinent information). Clerical responsibilities, as assigned, such as sending/receiving patient medical records, obtaining Laboratory/X-ray reports and hospital notes, processing referral information and completing forms/requisitions. Organize medical records, Laboratory results and progress notes to ensure that the provider has all of the available/necessary information during patient encounters Scan necessary medical information into patient charts REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred Work Experience:
Prior experience in a medical office preferred Medical Assistant experience preferred Front Desk experience preferred Skills: Proven working experience in a Medical office Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills
