When you come to work, you'll be:

  • Partners with Sales and Fitness Managers to provide a best-in-class, member-centric experience that strengthens member relationships and builds member retention.

  • Ensures members receive a friendly greeting/check-in and prompt attention to their needs.

  • Engages members with various fitness offerings including personal training, group exercise classes and digital classes. Maintains name relationships with members and serving as a resource for their questions or concerns and putting them in touch with the right club resources as appropriate.

  • May assist sales with club tours and member questions

  • Assists with housekeeping duties as needed

There are some MUST HAVES:

  • High school diploma

  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis

  • Ability to working accurately at a fast pace.

  • Organization and attention to small details

  • Ability to work around cleaning products.

  • Understanding that this is not an all-inclusive list

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, clear communication, and appearance in a clean uniform are also required

Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

The Front Desk Associate is creative and enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. You must have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The ideal candidate in this role possesses the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.</p><p><strong>ABOUT THE COMPANY</strong></p><p>SoLa Impact is a vertically integrated real estate private equity firm with a double bottom line strategy focused on preserving, refreshing, and creating high-quality affordable housing in low-income communities. We were awarded the PREA Emerging Manager ESG Award for 2022. We are a Los Angeles based real estate private equity and social impact fund that focuses on acquiring, developing, and renovating properties in Los Angeles and we have acquired 1500+ apartments and are in progress on an additional 1,500 ground up residential units. The Fund focuses on providing quality housing in historically depressed markets and revitalization of urban neighborhoods. We have just closed our fourth fund, The Black Impact Fund, with ~$300 million by end-2022. We offer a fast growing, fast paced environment which is intellectually challenging, yet extremely rewarding and fulfilling due to the social mission that we fulfill.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES</strong></p><ul><li>Sit at the front desk and greet guests and visitors and guide them to where they need to go;</li><li>Provide general administrative support to the senior management team; </li><li>Assist new applicants who come into the building to apply for positions, including providing them with applications, pens and clipboards along with any reference material they may need, such as telephone directories or Wi-Fi passwords;</li><li>Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures);</li><li>Accept and distribute mail and deliveries to recipients;</li><li>Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges);</li><li>Answer incoming phone calls when needed;</li><li>Handle filing and data entry as requested;</li><li>Keep the common areas around the office clean and tidy;</li><li>Assist with lunch and office supplies orders and other office management duties as needed;</li></ul><ul><li>Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree required;</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative position at a non-profit, academic institution, or in a corporate environment;</li><li>Experience with social impact and/or public good program development or campaigns preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent communication skills;</li><li>Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers);</li><li>Solid written and verbal communication skills;</li><li>Professional appearance and attire; you will be the face of SoLa Impact for anyone coming to The Sawtooth;</li><li>Customer service and solution-oriented mindset and friendly attitude;</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively;</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>SoLa Impact offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as pet insurance, sick leave, 10 paid holidays, and bereavement days.
