Job Summary:

The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor at Arlo Chicago is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive until they depart. The individual in this role will have a keen attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor will serve as a representative of the hotel and uphold the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for this full-time, hourly position is $22 per hour paid biweekly. Employees are also eligible for comprehensive benefits packages, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and discounts on hotel stays.

Responsibilities:

1.Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, and check them in and out of the hotel efficiently and accurately.

2.Provide excellent customer service by answering guest inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns promptly.

3.Ensure that all guest information is entered accurately into the hotel's system and that all reservations are handled efficiently.

4.Operate the hotel switchboard, direct calls, and take messages as needed.

5.Balance and reconcile daily transactions, process refunds, and adjustments, and prepares reports for management.

6.Complete end-of-day processes and perform night audit duties, including closing the day's transactions and posting charges to guest accounts.

7.Assist with maintaining safe and secure working conditions by following all safety and security procedures and reporting any potential hazards or accidents to the manager.

8.Respond to emergencies, including but not limited to fire alarms and medical emergencies, and assist guests as needed.

9.Maintain a neat and organized front desk and lobby area at all times.



  1. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager or Director of operations.

Requirements:

1.High school diploma or equivalent.

2.Prior hotel front desk experience preferred.

3.Excellent communication and customer service skills.

4.Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems.

5.Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software. (Opera Cloud)

6.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.

7.Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

8.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
