Welcomes and seats guests and receives and records payment of restaurant guest checks
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Greets restaurant guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Arranges for prompt seating of guests in order of arrival or availability of seating accommodations.
Quotes accurate waiting times, and seats guests when tables are available.
Assists in identifying casino comps, hotel and VIP guests for seating; communicates with comp authorizer (signer) regarding any comp charges by the compee.
Maintains cleanliness of menus.
Familiarizes self with hotel/casino so that accurate directions can be given to guests who inquire.
Maintains the appropriate supplies needed for the proper performance of duties.
Prepares multiple reports.
Responds to telephone calls.
Able to communicate with servers regarding guests' preferences or special needs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate preferred
Previous experience as a host preferred; previous reservation systems experience preferred
Literacy and fluency in English
Above average communication and interactive skills
Excellent computer skills
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Auditory and visual range must include immediate environment
Manual dexterity to operate a cash register
Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
