JOB TITLE: 28º ROOM BLAST LOADER

GRADE: VII

THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING FLOW OF PRODUCT RACKS THROUGH THE BLAST TUNNELS.

I. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

1.Identifies the stacks of product racks as they are delivered to the blast tunnel anteroom

2.Pushes stacks onto the appropriate lane of Blast Tunnel

3.Removes the stacks as they exit the tunnel and pushes it into the 28° room

4.Assist in pushing stacks of product racks from the main stack off conveyor as required

5.Knowledgeable of where product is to be stored.

6.Maintains good housekeeping within the tunnel.

7.Report any damage done to trailers, freezer or product immediately.

8.Maintain clean freezer at all times.

9.Tyson People are required to follow proper hygiene practices.

10. Safety procedures to be used in and around the work areas are communicated to the Tyson People through the retention program.

II. MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

1.Good hand/eye coordination

2.Must be able to work in very cold environment, with icy/slippery surfaces

3.Capable of working in excess of 8 hours per shift and up to 6 or 7 days per week when required.

4.Pushing up to 330 - 560 pounds of product during the duration of the shift (Roll carts that contain an average of 800 pounds of product.)

III. TYPES OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO OPERATE FOR THE POSITION

1.Dolly

2.Various small hand tools

IV. Minimum EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, DIPLOMA OR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB FUNCTION

1.Good previous work and attendance record.

2.Capable of performing all listed job functions.

3.Must be able to read, write and do some math.

4.Must be willing to work weekends when required.
