The Freight Processing PT Team Member's responsibility first and foremost is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their happy place! This position will drive sales through operational excellence that includes proper truck unloading and shelf stocking procedures. This position will maintain high standards to create an exceptional in-store experience through constant maintenance of the sales floor. The Team Member is responsible for an exceptional in-store experience and excellent customer service through customers and team members. The Team Member will also embody characteristics and perform duties of Brand Ambassador, Operational Excellence, Business Acumen, and Inspirational Leader.
Pull and/or push merchandise with appropriate equipment from the delivering truck to the store receiving area and ultimately the sales floor
Stocks shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining a high level of productivity and close attention to detail
Maintains high standards throughout the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves, putting away returns, and cleaning up any spills/messes with a sense of urgency
Assists other Team Members with tasks to ensure that the team exceeds expectations set by Store Management
Works with Store Management and other Team Members on projects in a friendly and professional manner
Assists with training new Team Members on stocking shelves, and customer service
Must be 18 years or older
Preferred: high school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a customer centric environment with focus on inventory management
Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Position is casual in nature. Expect periods of high availability during seasonal months and less so during the remainder of the year.
May be required to work outside during varying weather conditions (extreme hot/cold)
