Job Summary

Manual loading and unloading of freight with the use of a pallet jack, hand truck or forklift, general labor, and warehouse maintenance. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving cargo by removing cargo from truck by hand, or using manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack.

  • May also use forklift.

  • Verify and note the count and condition of cargo received.

  • Accurately label freight to destination.

  • Assist in segregating cargo received by account or intended location.

  • Perform various manual labor functions such as hand-loading containers.

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.

  • Perform various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Edudation and Experience

  • High school education or GED preferred.

  • Less than one year related experience.

Certitications and Licenses

  • Forklift Driver Certification preferred.

  • Valid state issued driver's license preferred.

Languages and Communication Skills

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

Computer Skills

  • N/A

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.

  • Ability to drive and/or operate heavy equipment.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Our Opportunity: The Asset Transfer Services (ATS) Department handles incoming and outgoing transfer requests for Schwab clients. ATS has set aggressive goals to lead the industry by creating the best asset transfer experience for our clients, internal business partners and contra/broker firms. What you'll do: As a member of our El Paso ATS team you will be responsible for operational processing, high quality data entry and high level support of our clients and business partners. * Review and process client requests for account transfers – interpret and apply judgment to the various requests received * Be extremely detail oriented and conscientious * Utilize a passion for client service, positive energy, and problem solving skills to assist Schwab clients in the transfer process. * Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls from our clients as a result of operational paperwork follow-up. * Listen to client cues and review transfer forms to engage in a dialogue to identify additional needs and present effective help and guidance solutions * Demonstrate flexibility and work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high quality service and meet internal and external client expectations * Establish and develop business partnerships cross enterprises. * Manage multiple tasks effectively by balancing high productivity with excellent service quality * Actively participate in team/department meetings providing relevant information/feedback on any department issues/concerns/trends.
