Position Summary:

Responsible for building and leading all aspects of Capstone's 3rd party freight brokerage business with a heavy emphasis on new customer, sales and earnings growth.

What you will do:

  • Lead and grow 3rd party freight brokerage operation with a heavy emphasis on growth.

  • Create and implement new business development plans to achieve sales and earnings growth targets.

  • Build and execute operational plans to efficiently and effectively manage day to day operations.

  • Develop customer service strategy to ensure customer expectations are met and partnerships grow.

  • Establish daily, weekly and monthly key performance indicators (KPI's).

  • Monitor KPI's to identify and capitalize on service or financial opportunities quickly.

  • Stay up to date on latest industry trends and news and adjust business plans as necessary.

  • Interview, hire, train, and retain staff.

  • Effectively lead and coach the team.

  • Invest in and develop individuals to maximize both individual and team performance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Five (5) years of Freight Broker management experience plus five (5) years of sales experience within the transportation industry. Preferred experience with logistic company startup operations.
