Scheels is currently seeking a Part-Time Receiving Associate for our Great Falls, MT location. The receiving position will accurately and thoroughly manage receiving merchandise shipments and distribute to corresponding specialty shop. This position will represent Scheels in a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable manner to our customers and fellow associates.
Unloads and unpacks shipping trucks
Examines shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and overages
Distributes items to appropriate specialty shop
Efficiently handle incoming merchandise to assure correct counts
Attach identification tags and prices
Operates tier lift truck to transport shipments between platforms, storage, and work areas
Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
Other duties that may be assigned by leadership
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
Must possess valid lift certification
Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to meet productivity and safety standards
Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
Able to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
Education and Experience:
Ideal candidate will have a high school education; or up to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 8a.m. and 9p.m., Monday though Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Average hours per week is 12-27 hours.
