JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX Sports Field Operations Department is a dynamic and fast-paced team that provides support for various sporting events, typically seven days a week. This department is responsible for ensuring that all technical and operational aspects of live sporting events are seamless and flawless. The FOX Sports Field Operations Department is a critical component of the live sports broadcasting experience. Overall, the department is a vital part of the live sports broadcasting experience, and their dedication and hard work help ensure that fans can enjoy the thrill of the game from the comfort of their own homes.

FOX Sports Field Operations Asset Management team oversees and maintains shipping, tracking, and recording for all technical assets throughout multiple warehouses throughout the country. The Freelance Asset Inventory Manager is expected to have extensive knowledge of asset inventory, overall workflows, and organization policies and processes.

The Asset Inventory Manager position requires working knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory control, and general ledger accounting. This position will be working closely with our remote operations team and other departments to constantly plan and coordinate inventory and asset control. The Asset Inventory Manager must be assertive and must be an effective communicator to obtain efficient workflows.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee the physical assets of the organization, including equipment, inventory by planning, organizing, and directing operational expectations

  • Manage overall asset database, including but not limited to creating structure and procedures as well as overall communication and efficiencies within our database

  • Manage day-to-day operations and requests submitted from technicians

  • Manage receiving and inspecting all equipment delivered to our warehouses and campus

  • Create and maintain workflows for more efficient processes

  • Develop methodologies for tracking asset lifecycle, inventory, locations, and costs on investments

  • Design and implement systems that facilitate asset management

  • Documentation of receipt of assets and overall entry into our management systems and assign as needed

  • Review stock inventory of spare parts, equipment and material

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables

  • Inspect shipments of material, equipment and supplies received to ensure compliance with purchase order specifications

  • Identify shortages, damages, and other discrepancies

  • Assign, install, and inventory all assets with FOX issues tags

  • Update asset management system for acquisitions, transfers and all movement of assets

  • Use scanning device, bar code technology, and spreadsheets to record physical inventory items and update within asset management system

  • Support multiple departments, project managers and vendors as required

  • Ability to analyze and perform utilization tracking for working tasks performed individually or within a group

  • Ability to properly communicate and make suggestions for improvements and modifications to workflows and systems

  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Ability to be flexible with "off-hours" communication and the understanding to handle problems in a 24/7 network environment

  • Inventory and asset management experience

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to create and maintain strong interdepartmental and external relationships

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Excellent communicator

  • Willingness to collaborate extensively with team members

  • Physical requirement for the warehouse - able to lift 50lbs
