What is the Medical Assistant Accelerated Program (MAAP)?
MAAP is a 6 Month Training Program in partnership with Southwestern College, San Diego Workforce Partnership and San Ysidro Health that will allow 24 participants to complete the Southwestern College Medical Assistant training program in 6 months rather than 12-24 months at no cost to the participant.
San Ysidro Health will provide 162 hours of supervised clinical rotations and provide job placement at a San Ysidro Health site for participants who complete 162 clinical hours and pass the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam.

High School Diploma or GED
18 years of age or older
Attend a Mandatory Orientation at Southwestern College on August 1, 2024
Obtain Background Check clearance prior to starting clinical rotations

Pass the National Healthcare Association (NHA) exam
