Job Description

Responsible for highly complex duties and independent decisions, including identification, investigation, and resolution of high risk or sensitive fraud cases, root cause analysis of fraud losses, and quality assessment, monitoring and reporting. Routinely requires decision making not defined by established policies and procedures. Evaluate sufficiency of fraud controls and recommend changes. Present significant case analyses to management with recommendations for loss mitigation. May distribute and review the work of other staff, resolve escalated inquiries from internal and external customers, and/ or serve as subject matter expert for training, procedure documentation, and process improvement projects. May train and coach less experienced staff.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of fraud detection/investigation or related experience.

  • Proficient in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Advanced skills in research and problem resolution typically obtained via seven or more years banking or other equivalent work experience.

  • Experience detecting and investigating fraud across multiple products and channels.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials.

  • Comprehensive understanding of consumer banking policies, practices, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Experience leading or facilitating team-based improvement projects * Possesses and applies expert knowledge of operational principles, practices, and procedures, and operates as the subject matter expert with substantial latitude for independent action or decision making regarding the day-to-day services provided by the business unit or operational functions and team processes. * Effective problem solver who can quickly pinpoint problems, come up with solutions, and get the action going * Able to work in a busy environment; able to function effectively in stressful situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Knowledge of Medicaid Non-Emergency Transports preferred but not required * Knowledge of reconciliation and strong customer service policies and procedures. * Must be able to key 8000+ keystrokes. * You must have 3-5 years leadership experience. * You must have 3-5 years customer service experience. * You must have experience managing a team in a production based environment. * You must have experience managing a team of individuals with an expected goals. * Other duties as assigned by management team. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION: * High School diploma, college degree preferred * Computer experience: proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Physical Demand: The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity, and is performed in offices to surroundings.
