Lead cross-functional fraud initiatives; work with the operations, Risk Management, Fraud Analysis and Strategies, Investigations, and other partners within the bank to implement changes to better detect, deter, recover and/or prevent fraud. Document fraud policies and ensure adherence to fraud policies and communicate policies to relevant organizations.
Understand and quantify risks associated with new or proposed processes or procedural changes, new products or programs. Implement and track key fraud portfolio and policy metrics.
The Fraud Policy Analyst role is required to lead and support Enterprise Fraud Policy initiatives. This role involves the assessment of fraud detection capabilities in various business units and implementation of procedures to strengthen prevention and coverage capability across frontline units, operations and control functions. This role will require discretion, independent judgment, collaboration with peers and business partners, communication with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors.
Key responsibilities include:
Adept at extracting and manipulating large data sets from varied sources for generation and assessment of loss data performance. This work will be required to support the monthly Enterprise Fraud Risk Committee and quarterly fraud risk assessment as well as other ad-hoc reviews.
Experience in policy applications to support consistent execution and communication of fraud policy to relevant organizations.
Ability to self-identify efficiency opportunities via process improvements or automation.
Responsible for pulling and validating business performance reporting, and hosting discussions with various partners to discuss trends and observations.
4+ years of experience in Global Banking and Markets Credit
1-2 years of experience in strategy development role or data analytics role
Data and analytical skills: ability to identify sources and extract large data sets for analysis; Ability to confirm accuracy and completeness of data
Communication: excellent business communication skills, ability to work with and communicate with all levels across the organization, leveraging advanced written, verbal and presentation skills
Influence: Ability to influence partners through data driven business cases backed by subject matter expertise and collaboration. Ability to challenge in a firm by non-confrontational manner
Organization: ability to deliver across a varied set of priorities, both planned and ad-hoc and adapt within a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Experience with application of the DMAIC process
Intermediate Excel and Power Point skills
Banking and Operations experience a plus
Broad fraud experience
Familiar with Bank of America Operational Risk Systems
