Shaner now has an opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our team at our one-of-a-kind Autograph Collection Playa Largo Resort & Spa on Key Largo, Florida!
We are seeking capable and professional individuals with excellent communication skills who can creatively and responsibly assist in managing a multi-faceted operation in accordance with the standards of Marriott and Shaner Hotels.
1.Menu item presentation and consistency.
2.Creating unique specials for catered hotel events.
3.Working directly with the Executive Chef to ensure training and monitoring of front line culinary associates.
4.Assisting in hiring and rewarding associates on a daily basis.
5.A keen ability to prioritize, organize, delegate, and ensure managerial follow-through.
6.Implementing and carrying out organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
7.Assisting the Executive Chef in addressing complaints and resolving problems is a must.
1.2-Year Culinary Degree.
2.5+ years of experience in a high-volume culinary position, hotel experience preferred.
3.High volume Banquet and A La Carte experience a plus.
4.Previous culinary experience in either banquets, ceviche, seafood or steakhouse concepts.
5.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
