Vail Marriott Revenue Analyst is a supporting role of the analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with lodging inventory at the property. You will be supporting the Shared Services team in the preparation of pricing and analysis to achieve the revenue goals of the property. As Analyst, you'll spend a lot of time analyzing global trends in the hotel industry as well as tracking the local competitors. You will need to be able to spot peaks and troughs in the market and adjust pricing accordingly while maintaining parity throughout your distribution channels. The successful candidate will have demonstrated learning agility and bring a curious approach to the role.
Implements all rates in High Performance Pricing and verifies it hits all appropriate distribution channels.
Works with Shared Services Revenue team to implement optimal Market Mix.
Analysis of revenue and profit opportunity (historical and future).
Meets the needs of Key Stakeholders (owners, asset managers, shared services team, corporate, guests, etc).
Participates and presents in monthly ownership meetings.
2 or 4 year bachelors degree and 3 years of experience practicing revenue management discipline in Lodging made up of Hotel, Property Management, and Vacation Rentals. Experience in a seasonal environment a plus.
Expert experience in Marriott systems including but not limited to One Yield 2.0, High Performance Pricing, Marriott Data Warehouse, MARSHA, eFast. Able to become subject matter expert in all Marriott systems.
Understanding of Brand Rewards Redemption processes, caps, rules, regulations, etc.
Familiarity with various hotel systems Reservations, Revenue Management System, Distribution, PMS, Sales and Catering, etc.
Skill Set Requirements:
Excellent analytical skills including spreadsheet and data analysis skills.
Extreme detail oriented to ensure integrity of data used for strategy and shared for financial purposes.
Ensures integrity of data configuration in various systems to provide accurate tracking.
Problem solving ability in order to identify issues as well as dig into the issues to find the fix for them.
