SUMMARY

The Framing Specialist's responsibility first and foremost is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their happy place! All Team Members drive sales through advanced product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and cutting counter accuracy. The Framing Specialist is responsible for driving sales and profitability of the custom framing department through the use of exceptional customer service, creative ability, and execution of an effective work flow. The Framing Specialist will also embody characteristics and perform duties of Brand Ambassador, Operational Excellence, Business Acumen, and Inspirational Leader.

BRAND AMBASSADOR

  • Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet the customer's needs

  • Asks open-ended questions to learn about customers' project needs and escorts them to the desired product's location

  • Engages in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Collaborates with customers to design and create a custom frame for their pictures and artwork

  • Responsible for the overall frame shop including sales, floor shop appearance, planogram integrity, signage, and promotional displays

  • Stocks and organizes merchandise within the framing department to ensure store standards are maintained

BUSINESS ACUMEN

  • Acts as subject matter expert on custom framing trends, best practices, design, profitability management, order flow, and customer interaction

  • Reviews P&L reports with store management to identify areas of opportunity within the framing department

INSPIRATIONAL LEADER

  • Train associates working within the framing space including: customer engagement, product assortment, design, measurement, order taking and processing, order finishing

  • Assists team members in other areas to ensure overall success of the team and the store

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer centric environment

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

JOB SUMMARY: The Services Specialist will utilize child welfare practice skills to ensure children are protected from abuse and neglect. When child abuse or neglect is indicated, specialists work closely with families and the legal system toward a goal of reunification, independent living, or other permanent living situation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: * Assessing allegations of child abuse or neglect and taking necessary steps to protect children. This could mean removing a child from a family. * Developing working relationships with people who strongly dislike DHHS because of their personal history or the reputation of child protective agencies in general. * Learning about cultures, traditions, and lifestyles different from your own and developing cultural competencies to understand how to determine child safety and well-being within that context. Comprehending the impact of historical trauma, and observing protocols of differing cultures. * Maintaining objectivity and empathy for families living in stressful situations. * Preparing comprehensive and accurate court documents.
