WHAT YOU'LL DO
The FP&A Sr Manager is critical to the Corporate FP&A team and is a key point of contact for all planning and forecasting across Ascend. This role is responsible for the consolidation of plans, forecasts, and related reporting and analysis. There is frequent interaction with senior finance executives including the CFO. This role produces important deliverables in support of Board presentations, senior lead team meetings, and other critical Finance materials.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK
This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS office location.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
Coordinate financial forecasting and tracking, risks & opportunities, shareholder analysis and reporting, monthly senior leadership team reporting, Board reporting and analysis and annual and long-range planning
Create, maintain and update multiple executive presentations to be used in key stakeholder meetings (i.e. Board, Board Working Group, senior leadership team)
Maintain widely-used P&Ls throughout the year; includes updating for key events such as monthly close and forecasts
Perform ad-hoc reporting and financial analyses at multiple levels of complexity, including cost analysis, and financial and expense performance comparisons
Collaborate across corporate FP&A and systems finance to ensure FP&A software (Planful) is appropriately updated/maintained and key inputs are accurately updated on a timely basis.
Compile Monthly reporting package for use of the CFO and other key leaders within Finance
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, business analytics, or other related fields.
Minimum 8 years of experience in FP&A (preferably both corporate and segment FP&A). Additional finance experience demonstrating breadth of experience is preferred
Strong grasp of finance with very high level of attention to detail and quality
Experience in budgeting/forecasting preferably within a corporate FP&A setting
Strong collaboration and communication skills along with an ability to thrive in an fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines while maintaining effective executive presence
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Datawarehouse, Microsoft BI or Tableau background beneficial. Prior experience with FP&A system highly preferred
