Description

The Risk Officer is responsible for the correct and timely design and implementation of control practices meant to increase the control awareness within the department as well as ensuring that operational risks are managed appropriately.

This individual will be also responsible of tracking that the appropriate documentation of roles and responsibilities is up to date Constantly applying self-assessments, process reviews and control practices such as EUC, Records Management, and other policies are key actions led by this position.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting preferably or equivalent experience.

  • Financial services or finance experience 3-5 years.

  • High proficiency in Excel and Access, Macros is a plus

  • High proficiency in English

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal)

  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Flexible, adaptable, responsive, positive

This person will also have direct responsibility over the the CTI LFO for Latam. The role will analyze and concisely explain results to senior management, interfacing with the business units to understand and enhance forecasts. He/she will also identify process improvement opportunities for all forward looking processes and activities. This person will be responsible for managing a team of professionals supporting the EO&T teams in LATAM and NAM. Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the EO&T team. This will involve: * transition from the current structure to the new structure with centralization of common FP&A activities, * developing and implementing an effective support model for the FP&A Business Partners * aligning the interaction model for EO&T activities in the Mumbai CSC * Leading the delivery of specialized EO&T FP&A activities for Decision Support analytics * Business Support / Performance Measurement * Pro-actively analyzing, investigating, escalating and explaining key movements and trends to Senior Management and FP&A Business Partners * Assessment of Market and Competitive Environment including competitive benchmarking, macroeconomic/environment assessment, market share analysis/wallet sizing, and trend analysis to build executive decision support information including periodic updates to CEO/CFO and FP&A leads. * Developing / Coordinating comprehensive management information for business, leveraging Insight and driving enhancements as required. * Supporting FPA Business Partners and Senior Management – Co-ordination and preparation of presentation material and talking points for internal or external meetings including but not limited to Earnings, CEO and CFO reviews, Plan Reviews * Develop deep understanding of EO&T products and utilize the knowledge to consolidate/simplify Executive Decision Support processes * Engagement: Proactively engage and interface across Business, Finance and other relevant functional areas to leverage information and processes to meet requirements whilst avoiding unnecessary duplication * Business Support * Developing / Coordinating comprehensive management information for business, leveraging Insight and driving enhancements as required. * Develop deep understanding of EO&T Planning processes, leveraging system resources where possible. Utilize the knowledge to consolidate/simplify processes while maintain support as mentioned above. Qualifications Education/Experience required: * 12+ years of relevant finance/business/accounting/statistical experience in financial services * Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline * Experience in country / regional perspective a plus * Strong working knowledge of Excel * Experience in managing large amounts of data from FP&A systems (Pearl, Ruby and PPNR Tool or equivalent), organizing and interpreting * Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and ability to create outstanding presentations using the tool. Ability to translate complex financial schedules into meaningful presentations that will support decision making * Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and assist on decision making * Understanding of financial and managerial accounting for bank products (accrual products, investment).
