TrueCar seeks an exceptional analytical thinker with strong financial and business acumen to play a crucial role as Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager on our Finance team. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Finance, your focus will be on building finance operations, reporting financial results, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, and instilling best practices. Leveraging your strengths as a detail-focused self-starter, you'll collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive diverse initiatives, provide high-quality analysis, and distill strategic insights to identify opportunities and risks and help guide senior management decisions.
How you will contribute to TrueCar's success:
Manage the consolidation of the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and Forecasts in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Finance & Business Analytics, and their direct reports
Financial Models: develop and maintain financial models across multiple products that inform internal and external reporting
Department Budgets: support the ongoing maintenance and evolution of the budgeting and planning processes. Manage the day-to-day resource planning and budget across all functional teams.
Business Insights: recommend and create reports focused on operational/financial performance metrics, analyze historical results, budgets, and forecasts, and identify trends
Management Reports: ensure accuracy in the preparation of reports for the executive management team, Board of Directors, investors, and various external parties as needed
Monitor performance and provide recommendations to mitigate issues proactively
Partner and mentor less experienced peers on the Finance team
Your Expertise:
Proven success with increasing responsibility working in corporate finance, accounting, management consulting, and/or investment banking
Ability to perform analysis on large data sets, derive insights, and creatively articulate recommendations to executive-level management in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and strong attention to detail
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Great work ethic complemented by a positive attitude and a desire to learn
Demonstrated history of becoming a subject matter expert, taking ownership, and working collaboratively to drive measurable results
Expert knowledge of MS Excel (including modeling), financial statements, and accounting principles
Experience working with WorkDay, Microstrategy, Tableau, Salesforce, or other BI tools
Experience with the development and maintenance of the Pigment Business Planning platform is a plus
Passion for the automotive and technology industries
Exposure to emerging, high-growth companies in the automotive or technology sectors
Base salary range: $96,000 - $147,000
