Position Description:
The FP&A team is responsible for creating value and influencing behavior across the business through strategic and financial planning, forecasting, and creative analysis to derive insights. A successful Manager is passionate about financial modeling, delving into data to find value, and building relationships to ensure alignment. The FP&A Manager will work in partnership with the Senior Manager of FP&A and report to the Director of FP&A.
Job Responsibilities:
Audit complex financial models to ensure accuracy and reliability
Review and provide recommendations for 3-statement model forecast
Develop & review project finance models to support business decisions and investment evaluations
Oversee the preparation of monthly management reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Lead and oversee the budgeting process including the preparation, consolidation and analysis of budgets
Manage the monthly forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to drive financial performance
Create and deliver compelling presentations to senior management and other stakeholders regarding forecasted financial performance
Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement FP&A best practices
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial models and reports
Lead and manage a team of FP&A analysts, providing guidance, mentorship and performance evaluations
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Assist in implementing financial models into Oracle EPM system
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the FP&A team as well as other stakeholders
Manage and coordinate the preparation of ad-hoc analysis and reports
Identify and advise on potential risks and opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or CPA is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, with at least 2 years in a management role
Proven experience in building and auditing complex financial models including 3-statement models and project finance models
Strong understanding of the three primary financial statements and their interrelationships
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to create professional and impactful presentations for senior management and Board members
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Positive mindset, energetic and strong desire to learn
Ability to develop strong working relationships and a team-first mentality
Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and developing teams
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Certifications related to financial modeling
Experience using a planning & budgeting application, ideally Oracle EPM

Periodic overtime to meet deadlines or accommodate time zone differences
Availability via mobile device outside of office hours
Compensation and Benefits package:
Seaspan's total compensation is based on our pay-for-performance philosophy that rewards team members who deliver on and demonstrate our high-performance culture. The hiring range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 CAD per annum. The exact base salary offered will be commensurate with the incumbent's experience, job-related skills and knowledge, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive total rewards package which includes an annual performance-based bonus, a comprehensive benefits package (extended health, dental, life and disability insurance), retirement savings plan matching and other company-provided rewards.
