JOB DESCRIPTION:

This Financial analyst positionsupports the Medical Affairs organization of Sanofi-Genzyme, with a focus on accountingand forecasting for key activities as well as Consolidation and Reporting forthe Sanofi-Genzyme Medical Affairs perimeter.

The position reports to the Head ofFinance for Sanofi Genzyme Medical Affairs and is based in Cambridge, MA.

Primary responsibilities include accounting,reporting and global forecasting of costs related to Clinical Studies,Reporting and Global forecasting of headcount for Sanofi-Genzyme MedicalAffairs, System supports, Consolidation and Reporting of financial informationfor the perimeter. The scope of work will encompass the newly created RareBlood disorder Unit, and the integration of Bioverativ activities into the

Sanofi systems and processes.

Accounting, reporting andglobal forecasting of costs related to Clinical Studies

The most important activitiesfor the Medical Affairs perimeter relates to the management of phase IVclinical studies supporting the entire portfolio of Sanofi-Genzyme. (InvestigatorSponsored Studies and Company Sponsored Studies)

Costs for those clinicalstudies are centrally managed in a TM1-Cognos based application named CASA.

In close relation with the MedicalAffairs Financial Controllers in charge of the supported Therapeutic Areas, theposition is in charge of ensuring accuracy and completeness of the datareported in CASA and managing key processes related to the application:

  • Responsible forclinical-studies month-end closing accounting activities and reporting requirementsin compliance with Sanofi accounting standards and corporate reportingrequirements and timelines,

  • Responsible for

Global reforecasting of clinical studies: Consolidation and validation ofclinical study drivers and costs in relation with Medical Affairs financialcontrollers and relevant clinical support functions.

  • Variance and Gapanalysis. Connection with local country controllers and Study Managers toaddress potential

Headcount forecasting andreporting

In charger of monitoring thereporting and forecasting of headcount and open positions for the

Sanofi-Genzyme Medical Affairs perimeter at global level.

  • In connection with the Medical Affairs Finance Controllers, coordinate the process of headcount forecasting and reporting in TM1-BOOST as well as the monthly reporting of Actuals for US Based employees.

  • Perform Global consolidation and variance analysis including ex-US employees. Identify and investigate gaps with the support of the Medical Affairs Finance controllers

  • Be the point of contact with the Medical Affairs HR representative to ensure accuracy of data reported.

  • Maintain and report Headcount dashboards including analysis and comments (Power Point, Thinkcell)

System support, consolidation and reporting

Assist the Medical AffairsFinance team in the critical steps of Global reporting and Consolidation, incoordination with the FP&A finance team of Sanofi Genzyme for all majorfinance exercises (actuals variance analysis, Forecast, budget and long Randplanning)

  • Develop and

Maintain consolidation and reporting tools for Clinical studies reporting.Perform monthly reconciliation with HFM at global level.

  • Using excel andinternal financial systems (Hyperion/Essbase, Qlikview) to develop basic and moreadvanced models to assist in financial analysis

  • Interpretingfinancial information from countries and regions

  • Supporting thedevelopment of power point presentation to enhance management reports

  • Provide technicaland analytical support for numerous projects and analyses to supportachievement of Sanofi Genzyme Medical Affairs financial goals and businessobjectives, including the roll-out of a new SAP platform in 2019 as well ascontribution to different work streams aiming at OPEX optimization andreporting solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years inbusiness finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting,forecasting and month end close

  • BS inAccounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA a plus

  • Strong knowledge ofSAP and TM1/Boost is critical

  • Excellent knowledgeof Excel (reporting automation) and power point required

  • Strong accountingskills; Internal Controls

  • Knowledge ofHyperion, Essbase preferred

  • Open minded andteam player. Ability to interact easily with other finance groups andfunctions.
