Leading University in the Glendora area is seeking an FP&A Manager/Director level consultant to assist senior management in a serious of projects. This individual will be working on a multiple amount of process improvements and process overhauls to help the CFO and Board better utilize resources.
This individual should be accustomed to turnaround type projects and able to quickly and immediately add value. This project is estimated to last 3-6 months with the potential to go longer.
Prepare financial reporting packages for Senior Management and the Board of directors along with guidance and recommendations for improvements and opportunities
Consolidate financial statements including Cash Flow, Balance Sheets, Debt ratios and institution P&L
Create a KPI dashboard for Senior Management and the Board for a better understanding of institution status.
Improve the budget/forecasting process to ensure that grant funs and donations are being maximized and used to completion
Act as a bridge between the Finance Department to the rest of the university to better establish risk and opportunities from the Annual Plan.
Manage cost centers by line item and create summaries regarding performance results and variance analyses
Create a cost reduction initiative.
Assist in pending restructuring and debt management to optimize cash flow
Evaluate spending, purchasing and T&E policies and identify opportunities for enhancement.
8+ years experience in FP&A
Advanced Excel and Financial Reporting skills are a must
Experience with cost/profit centers and consolidation are key
Non-Profit/Education experience a plus
A strong history of process improvements.
