Summary: The FP&A Analyst is primarily responsible for providing accurate and data-driven information on the company's operational and financial performance. You will research and analyze financial and market information to help the company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for generating, maintaining and analyzing reports and data for monthly business unit reviews
Assist departments with data analysis and business process improvements
Responsible for the collection/consolidation/analysis of data for the annual budget process and monthly forecasting process
Participate in planning discussion for manufacturing, logistics and operations from a financial aspect
Create and implement analytical tools across the business to aid in operational decision support
Provide cost and general ledger accounting support during the month end close process including operational management reporting, account analysis, and actual vs. budget analysis
Partner with marketing, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality and sales to build robust business case assumptions
Provide departments with key performance indicators and recommendations to drive execution
Provide detailed reporting and analysis of monthly expenditures vs budget to business partners across the organization
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required; two to five years related experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to draft presentations using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Other Qualifications:
BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required.
Excellent spreadsheet and financial analysis skills; using if-then statements, macros, pivot tables, dashboards and reference lookups
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with independent judgment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Capable of handling multiple database systems and complex data compilation, with a strong preference for candidates who have hands-on experience with PowerBI for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent Finance, forecasting and analysis skills
Results-oriented contributor must demonstrate business acumen and resourcefulness
Knowledge of ERP systems and database structures
Strong operational finance knowledge and problem resolution skills
Outstanding collaboration and teamwork skills
