As the first FP&A Analyst on the Finance team, you will work directly with the Global Director of FP&A and other senior leaders to assist in financial planning, provide key business insights, and conduct ad hoc financial analysis across business units.

Additionally, you will create insightful analysis from large data sets to improve and drive decision making, particularly in areas of planning/budgeting, developing ad hoc financial models, and driving unit economic profitability.

To succeed you will be highly analytical with strong business acumen, exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills, and have a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.

This position is based out of our HQ in Austin, Texas, and reports into the Global Director of FP&A.

What you will do:

  • Manage the company's core operating model and work with the Global Director of FP&A to establish short-term and long-term financial forecasts

  • Complete ad hoc strategic, financial, and operational analyses including new business models, contribution margin impacts, etc.

  • Prepare and present monthly management reporting, which includes analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risks, and communicating key messages to senior management

  • Partner closely with accounting and other department leaders to tighten internal controls around budgeting and spend tracking

  • Work cross-functionally to understand and manage company reporting data

  • Actively seek out opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to help bring Bumble's mission to the world!

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical finance role, prior operational FP&A experience within a fast-moving start-up company preferred

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills

  • Ability to forge strong relationships with team members at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize

  • Rigorous attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Substantial experience with financial modeling

  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint; working knowledge in Sequel and Microstrategy preferred but not required

  • Unafraid to hustle and get stuff done
