This is a temporary / contract role .

Operational Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, process and track fulfillment of client media orders through the facility from request through delivery to broadcasters and over-the-top video services

  • Research audio & video source material and provide feedback to clients as necessary

  • Ensure all client deadlines are met and within budget

  • Collaborate across departments within Fox Enterprise Operations

  • Work closely with the Digital Media Operator teams to provide accurate, detailed media orders

  • Work with team Billers to insure all client charges are actualized for completed work on a weekly basis

  • Proficient in video post-production workflows

  • Proficient in volume servicing of television programming to multiple customers

  • Other duties as needed

  • Provide best-in-class service to clients throughout every stage of their work

  • Establish trusting relationships and clear lines of communication with co-workers

  • Devote time to expanding knowledge of internal procedures and workflows


  • College degree preferred

  • Must have at least 2-4 years of experience working in a post-production environment

  • Knowledge of various video & audio file formats and standards

  • Knowledge of common customer/client requirements and deliverable specifications (e.g., iTunes, Netflix, PlayStation, X-Box, Amazon, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Xytech Media Pulse or comparable media order management software is preferred

  • Required computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Slack, Trello, Quip

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal client-facing communication skills

  • Must be able to organize and manage work effectively

  • Must be able to work efficiently under time constraints

  • Must be able to work proactively with multiple tight deadlines

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a high volume, fast paced, challenging environment

  • Must be able to work independently and self-motivate, but alternately in a team structure

  • Must be comfortable working in a technology-focused environment

  • Must be available for offsite communication outside of normal business hours

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime, if and when necessary

The City of Beverly Hills is seeking a qualified Digital Media Technician, a position that will provide support services to the Beverly Hills Police Department. The incumbent in the position will design, implement, configure, test and maintain Body Worn Camera (BWC) and Mobile Audio Video (MAV) systems. What We Do The Beverly Hills Police Department is responsible for safeguarding the lives and property of City residents, businesses and visitors. The BHPD values its reputation as an agency that earns the public trust through efficient, impartial police service. Ideal Candidate Exceptional customer service skills are essential for the position of Police Digital Media Technician coupled with responsiveness and strong technical skills. Candidates for this position must possess a strong commitment to public service, the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion, the ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Body Worn Cameras and Mobile Audio Video systems, including software configuration, security levels, system reports, equipment inventory management, quality assurance and security audits. Position & Benefits This position is represented by the City's Safety Support (SS) Association and is covered by the negotiated terms and conditions of that Association's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The City provides a generous compensation and benefits package, including CalPERS 2.5% @ 55 for classic members; $2,150/month towards health insurance (with option of up to $475/month as taxable cash); a monthly contribution of $250 to an RHS account for retiree medical savings; generous vacation accruals with the option for annual cash-outs. Additional details may be found in the SS MOU, a copy of which is located at Selection Process All applicants must submit clear, concise and complete information regarding their qualifications for the position, including response to all supplemental questions. The selection process may consist the following components: * Oral Interview / Technical Project Major Duties EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Ensure that the Beverly Hills Police Department's (BHPD) Digital Media policies and procedures comply with federal, state and local legislation and relevant case law. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding all BHPD issued digital media systems; develop BHPD BWC/MAV quality assurance policies and procedures; provide digital media status and systems reports. Ensure that all BHPD digital evidence is maintained in accordance with BHPD evidence policy and procedures. Ensure all BHPD digital media is stored, saved, archived, impounded, and purged per BHPD policy and procedures. Copy and redact all types of digital media as required. Liaise and work closely with the Information Technology Systems Integrator, the City Attorney's office, and the District Attorney. Serve as the primary point of contact for the BHPD MAV/BWC Project Team (e.g., Patrol, Detectives, Traffic, and Records) and all digital media companies. Testify in court regarding BHPD digital media systems security and BHPD protocols. Train other classifications on Digital Media and BWC/MAV policies, procedures, roles, and responsibilities. Communicate with other law enforcement agencies that utilize BWC/MAV systems. Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service. Foster an environment that embraces diversity, integrity, trust, and respect. Be an integral team player, which involves flexibility, cooperation, and communication. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Two years of responsible technical experience working digital media, digital forensics, and/or equivalent certifications to manage digital evidence, closed-circuit television, or multi media. Training: Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college with major course work in Digital Media, Information Technology, or a related field. License and Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of: BWC/MAV systems, including software configuration, security levels, and system reports. BWC/MAV equipment inventory management, quality assurance, and security audits BWC/MAV contracts and procurement Ability to: Perform activities requiring close visual acuity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Utilize visual perception including color, depth perception, and field of vision. Intermittently, review and evaluate documents related to department operations; observe, identify and problem solve office operations and procedures; understand, interpret and explain department policies and procedures; explain operations and problem solve issues for the public and with staff. On a continuous basis, sit at desk for long periods of time or stand at public counter; intermittently twist to reach equipment surrounding desk; perform simple grasping and fine manipulation; use telephone; write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means; and lift or carry weight of 10 pounds or less. Use sound judgment in recognizing scope of authority. Operate and use modern office equipment including computers and applicable software.
