The Foundation Department Database Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the donor and gift records within the fundraising database. This role provides critical administrative support to the Foundation office, assists in organizing events, meetings, and activities, and plays a key role in extracting and analyzing data to identify funding prospects and measure the success of fundraising efforts. Additionally, this position ensures the integrity of the scholarship database and oversees the work of student interns, casuals, and office volunteers.
This position reports to the Executive Director of the Gateway Technical College Foundation.

Database Management:
Maintain and update multiple databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Oversee the scholarship awarding process, ensuring integrity and compliance with established guidelines.
Regularly audit database entries to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Administrative Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Foundation office, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and coordinating events.
Assist in the planning and execution of Foundation events, meetings, and activities, ensuring all logistical aspects are well-managed.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Identify and develop queries and reports to extract data and analytics from the fundraising database.
Analyze data to identify potential funding prospects and measure the success of fundraising efforts.
Present findings and recommendations to the Foundation team to inform strategic decisions.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert on the database software and its contents.
Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on database functionalities and best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
Regularly review and optimize processes to eliminate redundancy and enhance overall efficiency.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising and database management.
Assist with distribution of work to student interns, casuals, and office volunteers
Perform other duties as assigned

3 years relational database experience
2 years front line customer service experience
Proficient in Word and Excel
