Description
Position Summary
The role of the Foundation Data Specialist reports to the Director of Development Administration. This position is responsible for coordination of gift processing and donor acknowledgement, provide support for data driven strategic decisions for fundraising efforts, development operations and administrative needs for Washington Regional Medical Foundation.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Utilize knowledge of donor database procedures, adhere to regulations related to gift acceptance, gift coding and reporting to ensure proper processing of donations
Input gifts in database and create tax receipts and acknowledgement letters for donors
Process online donations and event registrations
Process tribute notifications and update obituary records weekly
Develop processes to increase efficiencies in collection of data and collaborate with database users to ensure coding standards are followed
Create queries, reports, and/or utilize other tools to support fundraisers' efforts and metrics
Generate, analyze, and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data to support strategic, data-driven decisions
Support employee assistance programs with data entry and processing of approved applications
Interact with visitors and guests at the Foundation and with a positive, welcoming demeanor and assist with answering the telephone
Prepare and deliver daily deposit to the bank
Collect and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence from both the on-campus mailroom and post office
Assist with completing all document processing including filing, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Licensure and Certifications: N/A
Experience: Minimum of three years office experience, preferred. Previous experience with donation based software, preferred.
