As a continuation of Citi Finance's continued re-engineering, ten Global Process areas have been identified. The Global Process Owner (GPO) will lead one of these ten Global Processes, developing the initiative and managing / monitoring execution and realization of ongoing transformation benefits. These are highly-visible full-time roles, expected to have full accountability and responsibility to transform their Global Process by utilizing several reengineering levers, including process redesign, shared services, resource/location strategy, data/content standardization and technology / automation. The GPO will lead the Global Process across the organization, including people, processes, content and technology, managing the direct resources including internal/external COE's.

The Forward Looking GPO reports into the Global Head of FP&A and responsibilities include:

  • Define the Forward Looking process end-to end (including boundaries and sub-processes) from Strategic Planning, Plan Functionals, long term target setting to Outlook.

  • Define target state of Strategic Planning, Budget, Forecast and Outlook processes

  • Own and manage the governance over the planning and management level of the firm (PU level)

  • Develop, implement and embed the investment process within the organization

  • Develop and integrate the firms forward looking tools (JADE, IMS, Ruby, CHAT)

  • Develop requirements for reporting to support all forward looking process within FP&A and in discussions with the business

  • Establish the global calendar and content for all forward looking processes and govern the changes to the calendar and content.

  • Operationalize a continuous improvement team for future state FP&A organization

  • Interact closely with the head of the PPNR process to ensure process consistency and alignment

  • Drive alignment between risk processes and FP&As forward looking processes including Cost of Credit (COC), Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Risk Taking Units (RTU)

  • Ensure adequate documentation for all global process owned in Foresight

  • Close alignment with Performance Management GPO


  • Financial professional with broad experience in a number of key finance functions, including Controllers, Strategy, Treasury, Tax and Financial Planning and Analysis, that spans the full spectrum of geographic, functional and business perspectives, 15 plus years of experience

  • Strong and demonstrated execution skills with a proven track record of operating in large global business, process transformations, including technology integration

  • Proven track record collaborating and building relationships with senior leaders and influencing across the organization

  • Outstanding analytical, strategic and problem solving skills coupled with strong finance and internal control skills

  • Strong relationship management, partnership and collaboration skills

  • Personally demonstrates the desire for continuous learning and creates environments where employees are provided development opportunities. Ability to understand the strategic direction and deliver successful results in a complex and cross functional organization

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build a broad base of support among key decision makers

  • Ability to lead and drive change by thinking "out of the box"

  • Strong people leadership skills, including direct, indirect and remote team management

  • Ability to manage multiple programs / initiatives simultaneously and prioritize appropriately

The group is made up of approximately 100 consultants, who are divided into central teams (Core S&PI), functionally aligned teams (Global Technology S&PI), and business-aligned teams (Asset Management S&PI, Consumer & Community Banking S&PI, and Commercial Banking S&PI). Specific to Global Technology (GT) S&PI, all of our programs have direct CIO and GT Operating Committee sponsorship, and are executed at the CIO and/or CIO-1 level. Engagement focus areas include: * Technology Strategy, Planning & Support * Expense Diagnostic * Operating Model & Capability Build-out * Benchmarking * Process Efficiency Review & Improvement * Sourcing & Solution Model * Organizational Design & Functional Restructuring * Complex Program Leadership & Change Management S&PI follows a hypothesis-driven, fact-based approach to problem solving. The ability to solve critical business problems along with the diversity and backgrounds of individuals distinguish S&PI from other areas of the Firm. Typical project teams are comprised of 2 to 6 members, most of whom are former management consultants from top consulting firms (McKinsey, BCG, Strategy&, etc.). Projects are usually 2 to 4 months in duration, depending on complexity and scope. Responsibilities: Thought Leadership * Demonstrate ability to drive discussions, shape solutions, and elevate the brand awareness of GT S&PI through clear and consistent subject matter expertise within the projects in which you operate.
