Job Duties

This position will provide the Army National Guard with safe, high quality, cost effective,

and timely building and grounds maintenance. As well as assist the Regional Operational Maintenance Managers (ROMMs) in the maintenance, repair, and minor construction of all associated buildings and grounds within the assigned region. This position would solely support the Fort Belvoir Readiness Center.

This position includes a sign-on bonus of $1500.00 that would be paid following the selected incumbents date of hire.

Minimum Qualifications

Essential capabilities which include the following:

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Memorization

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend written direction

  • Mathematical calculations

  • Organization and Innovation

Ability to perform minor indoor and outdoor maintenance work which would include use of the following:

  • Ability to work with contractor and guide them when needed

  • Various ladders/lifts

  • Various custodian and mowing equipment

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely

Building maintenance experience required. Specifically in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to retain a 0 or above point balance with DMV.

Will obtain VA herbicide/pesticide certification within 12 months of hire.

Must be able to obtain a common access card (CAC) which requires an extensive background check

Additional Considerations

Trade certification and/or license. DPOR certification in journeyman masters
