Volt is immediately hiring passionate and dedicated individuals for the role of Formulation Associate in Redondo Beach, CA. This entry-level position is perfect for a recent graduate with lab experience in chemistry.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

  • The final pay rate will be based on factors such as education, experience, location, job duties, and certifications.*

Schedule: Early schedules, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. There might be some mandatory overtime during peak seasons.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with manufacturing management, QC/QA personnel, and fellow formulation associates to ensure top-quality products adhering to all regulatory and good manufacturing guidelines.

  • Product Formulation: Formulate regular and OEM/PTM products to exact specifications.

  • Perform Assays: Conduct necessary assays and verify results to ensure accuracy.

  • Optimize Workspaces: Organize cold rooms, freezers, and laboratories for optimal use.

  • Document Excellence: Write, review, revise, and update manufacturing documents, SOPs, and other technical documents.

  • Validation Protocols: Assist in writing and executing validation protocols and reports.

  • Contribute to Culture: Foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Support Tasks: Perform various tasks and duties as directed by management.

  • Quality System Maintenance: Help maintain the Corporation quality system.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in a related area with 1-2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2-4 years of related experience/training. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.

  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Recommended proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Safety Awareness: Ability to work safely in environments with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, with required protective clothing, goggles, hairnets, and masks.

  • Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to extreme cold; noise levels are usually moderate.
