FORMULATE & GRIND OPERATOR

Lebanon Meat Plant

• Lebanon, IN

Full Time / Non-Exempt Position

Typical Hours 2:15pm to 10:45pm

• 2nd Shift (Coverage of first shift as needed)

The Formulate/Grind Operator is responsible to accurately formulate, grind, blend and form raw material into 100%

beef logs in a quality and safety-oriented manner. Work safely within the guidelines of the USDA and Quality

Assurance Department meeting all White Castle and USDA requirements and standards. Formulate/Grind Operators

are expected to uphold and demonstrate the Company's Core Values. This position description does not contain a

comprehensive list of required duties and responsibilities.

What we are looking for:

• High School diploma or GED required; capability to become certified with the operation of the forklift and hand

• truck will be required;

• Ability to learn and operate the internal WMS/ERP scanners for product inventory control;

• Proficient math & reading skills, ability to write legibly and possess good verbal communication skills,

• teamwork, ability to follow detailed instructions from the Assistant Plant Manager, Formulate and Grind Line

• Supervisors and/or Quality Assurance Department;

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment; adequate knowledge of safe lifting

• procedures and the "lockout/tagout" procedures and proper procedures for safety;

• Knowledge of the HACCP guidelines to ensure critical points are met and SSOP's are documented.

What you will do:

• Unbox, and handle boxes of raw material blocks of meat; formulate blends of meat; operate Q-vision & load

• blocks to reach desired fat percentage and report to QA lab;

• Utilize motorized order picker to bring palletized raw materials from freezer; accurately scan product in and out

• of the WMS system as used and/or as produced; perform loader position, remove blocks of raw material and

• load into mixers;

• Operate machine controls on large grinder and blenders; adjust formula as determined by the QA Dept.

• Operate control panel to extrude product; monitor temperature of beef logs; box and palletize beef logs;

• Move pallets into finished goods freezer; tear down & set up equipment; incorporate rework back into process;

• Work in a safe and efficient manner satisfying all sanitation, quality assurance and USDA standards.
