Forklift Operator

VCNY Home is currently hiring an experienced Swing Reach Forklift Operator to join our team at our distribution center in Roxbury, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Operating a Swing Reach forklift and to move, load, and unload products
• Stacking and organizing products in the warehouse
• Move material off trucks using a sit-down forklift, bring it into the warehouse, and stow it on the correct rack/shelf (up to 25 feet high using swing reach, forklift)
• Bring raw materials to the production floor based on demand and need with the Swing Reach forklift.
• Provide training to the other team members.
• Performing routine pre and post-inspections on forklift equipment
• Ensuring all safety guidelines and procedures are followed
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 year of forklift operating experience, swing reach operator
• Valid forklift operator certification required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime as needed
