The Forklift Operator is responsible for replenishing slots and storing product using automated lift-handling equipment. The Forklift Operator is also responsible for performing job in accordance with preferred work methods.


  • Inspects product being moved for damage, quality or deterioration of packing

  • Places product in proper location maintaining proper rotation and confirm through RF WMS system

  • Maintains the neatness and accuracy of assigned aisles

  • Inspects materials used in moving products in warehouse and correct or report any faulty equipment, i.e., pallets, forklifts, pallet jacks, WMS equipment, etc.

  • Removes any tape or shrink-wrap from pallets before placing in pick slot

  • Insures that assigned aisles are full and ready for selection/shipping

  • Reports to receiver any discrepancies in information immediately for notation on receiver worksheet

  • Keeps work area clean and free of damaged product

  • Replenishes slots in uniform manner as directed

  • Utilize fall protection equipment when appropriate

  • Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment

  • Properly maintains equipment that is assigned, and or signed for

  • Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to perform this job successfully.


  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to obtain electric pallet jack and floor scrubber licenses


  • 6-months proficiently utilizing a stand-up forklift and riding pallet jack

  • 1-year warehouse experience

  • Basic knowledge of produce preferred

  • Experience in replenishment, cycling of product, RF scanners and other returns related functions preferred


  • Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment for long periods of time

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs of boxes of produce

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to stoop and bend frequently

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment

  • Ability to select product onto floats and load product into trucks

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, an associate regularly works in climate controlled areas, such as coolers, freezers, the dock area, and the shipping & main offices.The work environment may include some congested traffic areas and slippery floors. Walking and working is done on both tile and concrete flooring.
