Forklift Operator

Taiga Building Products - Sanger is offering a full-time, permanent position for a Forklift Operator at our Sanger Branch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading and unloading building materials on flat deck trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner.

• Accurately picking and staging customer orders.

• Provide excellent customer service to customers and truck drivers.

• Double checking loads before they leave the yard.

• Entering accurate information into BisTrack computer system and printing documents.

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Work with Operations, Sales, and Administration to ensure optimal team performance.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified in operating forklifts with experience preferred.

• Preferably experienced in handling lumber or building materials

• Flexible availability for day and night shifts

• Strong commitment to safety

• Positive, proactive attitude

• Customer-focused team player

• Skilled in loading and unloading flat decks and vans using forklifts.

• Proficient in computer operations with a capacity to learn new programs.

• Attentive to detail

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Organized with effective task prioritization abilities.

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.

• Experienced working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

• Excellent attendance record

• Familiarity with RF Scanners in a Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment is beneficial.

• Knowledge of building materials is advantageous.

• Dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

SHIFT TIMING: 8 hours/day: 40 hours/week.

COMPENSATION:

• Hourly salary range: $18-$22
