The Role

Landsberg Oroa Nashville, located in Symrna, TN is seeking a Forklift Operator to receive, store and distribute material and products within establishment by performing the various warehouse functions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to grow, learn and move up within the company.

  • Travel Requirement: 0-3% of Travel Required/Frequency

What You'll be Responsible For in this Role

  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed

  • Inspects forklift equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, etc

  • Processes clear and accurate paperwork

  • Conveys material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated area

  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.

  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.

  • Assembles customer order from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to the shipping department and may load material onto a truck.

  • Counts items to ensure conformance to company standards.

  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications

  • Marks materials with identifying information

  • Opens bales, crates or other containers if needed.

  • Maintains inventory records.

  • Records the amount of materials or items received or distributed

  • May use computer to enter records

  • Prepares parcels for mailing

  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years' experience in warehouse environment

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Forklift certified a plus

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memo

  • Ability to write short correspondence

Working closely with an Account Manager, the Associate Account Manager will provide relationship management, account management, inventory management, and performance improvement services for our customers who are serviced from the Nashville Division. * Location: Smyrna (Nashville), TN * Travel Requirement: Local Travel * FLSA Status: Exempt What You'll be Responsible For in this Role * Manages and troubleshoots daily account order flow and reporting to ensure the highest levels of customer service while searching for efficiencies, cost reductions, and margin improvements. * Resolves order, inventory, and delivery challenges by working with the customers and our customer service, purchasing, and warehouse teams to solve problems. * Troubleshoots local service or product quality issues. * Inventory Management – Works with Customers and Sales team to ensure inventory is adequate to service customer needs. Tracks usage. Manages "Hot Orders." Troubleshoots inventory issues. * Tracks aged inventory and recommends procedures for aged inventory reduction. * Manages customer payments, receivables and credit. Supports costing, pricing, and invoicing. Resolves invoicing discrepancies. * Supports the Account Manager by handling sample requests, data analysis and reporting on a regular or ad hoc basis, and assistance with special projects. * Learns to manage seasonal rollouts and new product introductions. * Learns quoting and ways to build margin and account profitability. * Learns to develop proposals and participates in sales presentations. * Other related responsibilities required to achieve the highest levels of customer service, efficiency and profitability.
