Department: Shipping and Receiving

Job Summary: The Forklift Operator II safely transports full and partial pallets within the warehouse using the Order Pickers. Also assists in other areas of the warehouse including but not limited to loading and unloading trucks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.

• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or vans.

• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the warehouse.

• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.

• Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.

• Stacking empty pallets.

• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.

• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.

• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions, read and speak English

• Basic math and measurement skills

• Minimum one year warehouse experience working on forklifts

• Must be able to operator a Sit-down Forklift and Stand-up forklift

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

• Some experience necessary

• Forklift Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Strong physical endurance

• Ability to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift

• Ability to kneel and maneuver through plant equipment
