Operates forklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements

  • Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials

  • Hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transport load to designated area

  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device

  • Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed

  • Perform routine maintenance to include recharging batteries, lubricating, fueling and cleaning

  • Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules

  • Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area

  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Education / Experience

  • High school diploma/equivalent; a minimum of two years of related experience in trades specific to job requirements; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to pass an internal certification program

  • Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments

  • Bilingual Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time

  • Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Withstand repetitive motion of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder

  • Able to work a flexible schedule

This Electrical Design Engineer must have the technical expertise to develop and lead electrical aspects of commercial Air Handling (HVAC) product design. The role also supervises product validation testing, drives to root cause for quality and reliability issues, interprets technical agency standards and conducts projects in accordance with standard engineering practices. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be added): * Develop fan, controls and power for HVAC and airflow sub-systems to meet performance standards, regulatory requirements, quality goals and cost targets. * Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers, through documenting, reviewing and prioritizing customer requirements. * Project manage the design and procurement of high and low voltage control component, and support manufacturing as required during the installation, testing, trouble shooting of electrical components. * Provide guidance and leadership to designers, lab technicians and other team members. * Develop and/or update standard work to improve the overall processes. * Review project specification to confirm compliance with contract documents during bid and submittal stages. * Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects. * Achieve scheduled milestones for assigned projects. * Participate in VA/VE events to identify opportunities to improve product performance and/or reduce cost. Lead projects to implement subsequent product design changes. MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of electrical engineering work experience is required. * Master's Degree is a plus. ESSENTIAL SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE: * Detailed understanding of HVAC system functions including airflow and ventilation. * Good understanding of the application of computer simulation tools and theory to HVAC system design. * Experience with application of various components used within HVAC systems such as lighting systems, motors and fans. * Quality and customer service orientation. * Understanding of statistics as applied to product reliability is required. * Good verbal communications skills and technical writing/documentation skills. * Must be a self-starter with high energy level and commitment to career development. * Must have the ability to quickly and efficiently understand, condense, and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions. * Ability to work as an effective member of a team. * Ability to make progress by producing deliverables and completing projects in a multi-tasking environment (several concurrent assignments). * Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills. * Must be proficient in AutoCad.
