Accent Controls, Inc. (ACI) is seeking non-exempt, regular full-time Heavy Equipment Operators, supporting the Logistics Readiness of the Army Reserve Equipment and Facilities for the 99th Regional Support Command (RSC) managed by the Directorate of Logistics (DOL), located in Fort Eustis, Virginia.The services provided under this task order include material maintenance, supply services, ammunition services, transportation, and associated logistics analysis and management functions.

The non-exempt job classification description below is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) with Wage Determinations (WDs). SCA positions furnish services in the U.S. through the employment of service employees. Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs. 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f)
21020 Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator operates a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse, manufacturing plant, or other establishment. The job description, below, is meant to be a guide.

Job Requirements

  • Preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage;
  • moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; driving forklifts, and related material- handling machinery and equipment;
  • using scoops, hand-trucks, and wheelbarrows to load and move materials.

The forklift operator shall be able to perform all of the tasks listed.

Job Requirements

The forklift operator shall be able to distribute work instructions and assignments to mechanics in a timely manner. The Forklift Operator shall also be able to research publications to resolve catalog and identification problems or discrepancies, and to determine suitable substitutes for equipment.

The Forklift Operator shall be knowledgeable in and able to issue, receive, inspect for serviceability, and store, inventory, re-warehouse equipment, using technical manuals, supply catalogs, Army, Army Reserve, 99th RSC regulations, pamphlets, polices directives, and local operating procedures. The Forklift Operator shall understand general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies for the Warehouse/ Storage Branch. The Forklift Operator shall be able to load/unload all types of vehicles and equipment using pallet jacks and variety of warehouse fork trucks and forklifts.

All personnel shall be forklift operator trained and qualified according to government specifications and regulations. The contractor shall maintain property accountability of Storage Branch to include completion of SKO and component hand receipt annexes. The Contractor shall be able to read, use, update, and understand automated management systems to include FLMS, GCSS-Army, and FAAST.


Subject to working out-of-doors during periods of inclement weather. Is exposed to serious injuries while operating vehicles over public roads and on the installation.

Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, battery acids, etc., resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Wearing of hearing protection and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.


High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent
