Role Purpose:

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You'll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. We move products that people need and want. At DHL, YOU will be an essential part of everyday life.

Key Accountabilities:

Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Assist in physical inventories.
Complete daily inspection of equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
Six months warehouse experience, preferred
Six months forklift operation experience

VIEW JOBS General - The Coating Production Operator position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for starting, stopping, cleaning and maintaining a Coating Machine while ensuring that good quality coated yarn is made. Policy Making Responsibility - The Coating Production Operator will have no policy making responsibility. Decision Making Responsibility - Routine decisions related to prioritization and product quality. Supervisory Responsibility - There is no supervisory responsibility associated with this position. Safety - Employees are responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations and policy procedures. Employee responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Complying with all safety rules and regulations * Reporting any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor * Maintaining floor safety discipline by interceding with fellow employees, who may engage in rule violations and/or unsafe, unhealthy activities * Communicating to management those employees who persist in violations of safety rules and/or procedures * Wearing required personal protective equipment properly and reporting any defective PPE * Reporting all near misses, accidents, injuries or illnesses, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders Essential Responsibilities The essential functions of this position may include any or all of the following to be performed primarily alone. Tasks: * Maintain creel in good operating condition. * Thread lines as required. * Maintain yarn path in good operating condition by cleaning all contacts and non-contact points. * Doff as required. * Clean parts and prepare for Change-over. * Perform Change-over. * Monitor Plastisol flow (filter, pumps, plastisol levels). * Complete daily check lists and ensure all parameters are within specification. * Maintain cleanliness and safety of the area. Essential Job Activities It is essential that the Coating Production Operator spend approximately 90% of his/her time at the Coating Machine and 10% spent cleaning/recycling. Essential Physical Demands and Working Conditions2 In this position, the employee will be subjected to physical demands requiring: * Ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 55 pounds * Ability to push/pull up to 71 lbs. * Ability to work with minimal supervisory direction * Ability to perform standard body movements2: * frequent standing and walking around * frequent reaching, squatting and stooping * occasional bending, pushing and pulling * Ability to use visual acuity and hand-eye coordination * Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English * Ability to work in an environment where temperature varies in range * Ability to tolerate moderate to loud plant noise levels Hours of work - The normal work hours for this position are 12 hour rotating days of the week. Overtime is required.
