Starting wage of $16.00 /hr does not include the following incentives that are applied based on shift and work area:

3rd Shift: $1.50 /hr

Dock work: $ 1.75 /hr

Freezer work: $2.50 /hr

Role Purpose:

What will you do in this role? Our Forklift Operators are responsible for moving stock from one area to another within our warehouse environment. You'll load and unload shipments of various sizes, and you may use certain types of equipment such as stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks.Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused. We move products that people need and want. At DHL, YOU will be an essential part of everyday life.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.

  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.

  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.

  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.

  • Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.

  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.

  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

  • Assist in physical inventories.

  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred

  • Six months warehouse experience, preferred

  • Six months forklift operation experience

Position Summary Job Requirements: * Have a working knowledge of purchase order systems. Be able to maintain current file system. * Must have good experience in accurate checking, recording, and inputting into inventory system. * Efficiently utilize time for accomplishing job assignments with minimum supervision. * Set up and restock inventory locations accurately and organized, maintaining minimal space usage and cross-referencing parts to eliminate duplication. * Issue required parts, components, assemblies and be able to find substitute items when necessary. Be familiar with basic machine components bearings; seals, chains, sprockets. * Document every issue and count the location. Verify inventory accuracy. * Maintain inventory control system by accurate input transactions of all available data entry screens on the computer. * Responsible for a packing, crating, and documenting shipments. Must be able to operate a fork truck. * Issue maintenance repair job orders for repairable items and maintain files of current status. Gather or order necessary parts for repairs on items. Expedite repairs of items when necessary. * Responsible for reviewing computer print outs on a daily basis to identify and correct problems from previous days input. * Maintain good communication with all departments and supervisors. * Other duties as assigned.
