Job Title: Forklift Operator --Job Duties:
Responsible for maintaining optimum stock levels in assigned areas by moving pallets of stock from reserve and overflow areas to pick slots in a timely, accurate, damage-free manner, using a forklift and the Radio Frequency (RF) system. In the receiving areas, move pallets of stock to reserve locations for storage. Shipping Specific:
Move pallets of product to replenish pick slots. Verify each drop is correct by checking the pallet number, slot number, let down quantity, and product description to ensure accuracy. Use RF scanner to scan pallets from reserve to pick location when needed or complete letdown sheet as required.
Cut plastic and/or tape bands from pallets before placing in pick slot to allow selectors to obtain cases accurately. Receiving Specific:
Move pallets of product to reserve locations to clear all assigned aisles of inbound freight and verify all product is put away in the appropriate and correct aisle/building.
Use RF scanner to scan pallets being put into reserve locations when needed or complete put-away sheet as required. Ensure pallets are shrink-wrapped and banded with tape to secure product on pallet. General Responsibilities:
Complete 10-point daily inspection of equipment used. Rotate product in pick slots when needed to ensure proper rotation. Notify management of reserve or pick slot problems as well as any rack damage observed.
Ensure compliance in areas of accuracy, safety and productivity. Perform job related functions with utmost regard to safety and respect of fellow associates. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
